Safer Streets and Neighbourhoods

Residents deserve to feel safe in their homes, parks, commercial areas, and public spaces.

Thomas will support stronger coordination between the City of Markham, York Regional Police, community organizations, and local businesses to address crime, dangerous driving, auto-theft, vandalism, and neighbourhood disorder.

Thomas is running on a practical vision for Ward 3—safer streets, responsible growth, improved transportation, fiscal responsibility, and stronger services that support residents and strengthen our community.

Fiscal Responisbility

Residents expect their tax dollars to be managed responsibly.

Thomas will scrutinize City spending, promote transparency, and focus municipal resources on essential services and projects that provide measurable value to the community. Tax increases should never be treated as the automatic solution to every challenge.

Residents know their neighbourhoods best. Send the campaign your thoughts on local services, road safety, growth, parks, transit, or other City issues.

The Future of Our Community

Responsible Growth and Better Planning

Markham will continue to grow, but growth must be responsible and supported by the infrastructure residents need.

Thomas will advocate for development that respects existing neighbourhoods, protects citizens' quality of life, and includes proper planning for roads, transit, schools, parks, and community services.

Stronger Services and Community Spaces

Ward 3 deserves responsive city services, well-maintained parks and roads, accessible recreational facilities, and programs that support families, seniors, young people, and local businesses.

Thomas will work to ensure residents receive timely service from City Hall
and that Ward 3 receives its fair share of municipal investment.

Improved Traffic and Transit Planning

Traffic congestion is one of the most common concerns facing Ward 3 residents.

Drawing on his experience in federal transportation policy, Thomas will push for better traffic management, safer intersections, improved road planning, reliable public transit, and
stronger coordination between municipal and regional transportation.
